Suicide Loss Day Event
On Saturday, November 19, 2022 from 1-3pm the Suicide Prevention Coalition of Portage County along with the Mental Health & Recovery Board and Kelly's Grief Center will be hosting an International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day event.
This event is for family and friends to come together and join a community of suicide loss survivors as we share stories of hope and healing.
International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day is the one day a year when people who are affected by suicide loss gather around the world at events in their local communities for support, information, and empowerment.
The event will highlight the importance of creating a community of care and emphasize the importance of opening the dialogue
between multiple areas of life, including the home, schools, work, sports teams, medical facilities, etc. There will be information regarding suicide education, prevention, and aftercare provided by mental health professionals and interns.
